Innovation strategy and institutional capability building

The National Water Company wanted employee innovation to become a standing internal capability rather than a series of one-off activities. Across the engagement, Yomn defined the innovation and R&D management strategy, developed the Wabel centre and its identity, and built the ideation, training and reward mechanisms behind it — 1,027 employees in ideation workshops, 26 professional innovation certifications and SAR 600,000 in awards.

The Situation

  • Before 2023, the National Water Company set itself a new goal: involve employees in developing the company's innovation ecosystem.
  • It planned an internal innovation centre that would generate ideas, solutions and innovative initiatives, creating value for both the company and society.
